The king of Jaipur Ram Singh II introduced blue pottery in Jaipur. The name blue pottery came from the blue glaze technique which is used to polish the surface of the products. Blue pottery is prepared by a mixture of quartz stone powder, powdered glass, multani mitti, borax, gum & water. Artisans of Meena tribes from Jaipur are the experts of this craft.
