The Indian Tribes – Homegrown Humans

The Indian Tribes: –

Tribes are a group of people who work hand in hand to earn their living. They are considered to be the community which is ahead Dravidians and Indo Aryans. It incorporates a few populations of India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka called Vedda. 8.6% of citizens of India comprises of Vedda. Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Maharashtra are some of the states where tribes are residing including Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In north-eastern states Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland majorly 90% of people are tribal. The Central Indian States compiles of 75% of their residents. Tribes are the people who have their own personality different languages, religion, festivals, cuisine, dance, and music. They are known to be the primary inhabitants of India.  These are formed after the downturn of the Indus Valley civilisation. They are also known as Adivasi. There are mainly 5 groups of tribal languages, Andamanese, Austro-Asiatic, Dravidian, Indo-Aryan, and Sino-Tibetan. They are distant from latest trends and upturns.

Handicrafts: –

Our country supplies major portion of handicrafts worldwide from long time ago. Nowadays, this industry plays an imperative role in the economic growth for our country. The tribal art forms an exclusive passageway in Indian handicrafts industry which are mostly small-scale factories. Handicrafts are distinct way to show the perception of culture and traditions of regions. It has provided numerous options of employment to over 6 million of artisans including women and weaker parts of the society with less funds and expenses. It has been an important source for overseas venture also. This is major revenue generator for the country. It has taken over the major part of income in rural as well as urban areas. This is considered to be the most imaginative zone to provide an array of things. The business of handicrafts is flexible, accessible and easily managed by the people involved.

Nowadays, students are learning skills to make handicrafts and many institutions, schools and colleges are giving opportunity. Which in future is a boon to the upcoming generation.
