Tribes India offers handmade traditional Indian games made in cloth and jute using hand embroidery techniques and patchwork, the motifs used to play these games are also made from seashells, wood, and embroidered patches. These traditional games are played by almost every individual of India in their childhood and are handed down through generations. Each and every game has a very interesting saga behind its origin, the rivers and mountains game is inspired by the ancient Indian board game of snakes and ladders. This traditional game originated as a part of a family of dice board games and is a worldwide classic. Taking inspiration from the snakes and ladders we try to revive it to a new form that not only is fun to play with but also enriches the kids with the geographical features of the vast Indian landscape highlighting the majestic mountains and perennial rivers. The objective of this game is not only to educate the players but, also to empower the local people, art, and craft of the region.
