Bring home a piece of living history with this exquisite Dhokra Art Nandi Idol. Handcrafted in the tribal heartlands of Chhattisgarh (Bastar/Raigarh), this artifact represents one of the oldest known methods of non-ferrous metal casting in human history.
Unlike mass-produced decor, this Nandi is born from fire and earth. The artisan first creates a core from clay, wraps it in fine beeswax threads to create the intricate mesh-work (jaali) and jewelry designs you see on the bull’s hump and body, and then casts it in molten Bell Metal (Brass alloy).
This Nandi is not just a symbol of strength and devotion; it is a masterpiece of tribal engineering. The rugged, raw texture and the golden-antique hue are the hallmarks of authentic Dhokra craft, making it a prestigious addition to any art collection or home altar.
