Blue pottery, introduced by King Ram Singh II in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is known for its vibrant charm and delicate designs. The name comes from the bright cobalt blue dye used in its artwork. Made using a unique mix of quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Fuller's Earth, borax, gum, and water, this craft stands out from traditional clay pottery. The colour palette of the craft mainly includes blue made from cobalt oxide, green from copper oxide, and white, with occasional touches of yellow and brown.  In earlier times, motifs were painted using brushes made from fine squirrel hair, which are now replaced with modern brushes. Each piece of blue pottery reflects a beautiful blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and natural inspiration.

Note: Although an artisan does take care to maintain pattern and colour scheme, to create identical products a little variation could be seen against the image shown here, being hand-made products.

Disclaimer: There might be a little shade variation between the actual product and the image shown on the screen due to the photography effect.
