Dhokra is a craft of casting metal artworks using the ancient lost wax process. The process begins by handcrafting a clay model, which is then coated with thin wax strings. Once the model is prepared, the wax is replaced with molten metal, resulting in a beautifully cast piece. Traditionally practised to create idols of deities, the craft allows for to incorporation of the deepest level of intricacies.
