Dokra jewellery is a unique and traditional craft made by tribal communities in eastern India. It is created using molten metal and combined with materials like beads, colorful glass pieces, and wooden balls, giving it an ethnic and artistic look. This ancient art form is practiced by tribes in West Bengal, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh, who were once nomadic and later settled in these regions. Despite being treated as outcasts in society, they preserved their craft by making beautiful tribal jewelry, nature-inspired animal and plant figures, and idols of their non-Vedic gods, keeping their rich heritage alive through their art.
