The king of Jaipur, Ram Singh II, introduced blue pottery in Jaipur. The name Blue Pottery came from the Blue Glaze Technique. Blue Pottery is prepared by mixing Quartz stone powder, Powdered glass, multani mitti, Borax, Gum, & Water by Mina Tribes artisans of Jaipur. Ornamentation is done with the help of a brush made from the hair of a squirrel. Decorated with the motifs of Flowers, Birds & other animals.
