Kantha is a form of embroidery often practiced by the Bheel tribes of Rajasthan. The traditional form of Kantha embroidery was done on soft dhotis and saris, with a simple running stitch along the edges. Nowadays, due to modernization, Kantha work is being practiced on ladies Kurtis, bags, bedcovers, ladies dupatta, etc. motifs of Kantha work are straight lines, on the edges of block prints, etc.
