Blue pottery, introduced by King Ram Singh II in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is known for its vibrant charm and delicate designs. The name comes from the bright cobalt blue dye used in its artwork. Made using a unique mix of quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Fuller's Earth, borax, gum, and water, this craft stands out from traditional clay pottery. The color palette of the craft mainly includes blue made from cobalt oxide, green from copper oxide, and white, with occasional touches of yellow and brown.  In earlier times, the motifs were painted using brushes made with fine squirrel hair are now replaced with modern brushes. Each piece of blue pottery reflects a beautiful blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and natural inspiration.
