Taarkasi is the technique where thin strips of wire are engraved on the surface of wood. Steps involved n the process of making Taarkasi products : 1. Drying of wood for removing moisture. 2. Wood is cut to the required shapes & dimension. 3. Marking is done on wood & strips are cut out with help scissors. 4. Once the marking is done on the wood the craftman starts engraving the design with the help of a half-round chisel & hammer. 5. After that ptoduct is rubbed to give a smooth finish.

Note: Although, an artisan does take care to maintain pattern and colour scheme however to create identical products a little variation could be seen against the image shown here being hand made products.

Disclaimer: There might be little shade variation between actual product and image shown on the screen due to photography effect.
