The evolution of iron from a hunting tool to a utility item is a narrative best captured in the Wrought Iron Craft tradition. The raw material used is predominantly recycled iron scrap sourced from households. The products are mostly decorative, with animal forms being particularly popular. This craft is practiced in Kondagaon, Keshkal, Narayanpur, Jagdalpur, and Dantewada. In recent years, artisans have also begun producing utility items, in addition to the traditional tools they once made for local farmers.
